The arts and crafts center takes up one half of a building, with the other half separated by a wall and door. The other half of the building is the Elizabeth Gammon nature center. This is one of the few original buildings that was constructed when Camp Arbolado began operations in 1925. Back then, it served as the camp dining area and kitchen facilities. When Lions Lodge construction finished in 1932, camp dining and kitchen facilities moved to this new building. The former dining facilities were then remodeled, creating the camp nature lodge and arts and crafts center.
Today, the arts and crafts center serves as the central hub for the arts and crafts programs. It has a working fireplace as well.
