The health lodge is located near Lions Lodge and is the place where campers receive medications they brought to camp and/or go to when they are sick or not feeling well. Any medications campers bring are checked in with the camp nurse before boarding the bus to go to camp. The nurse organizes them and prepares the prescribed dosage when it is time for a camper to take his/her medications. The health lodge includes a small bedroom where the camp nurse stays, a central reception area to administer medications, two rooms for sick campers, and an indoor bathroom. There are beds to take care of 6 sick campers. If an illness or injury cannot be properly handled at the health lodge, campers are taken to the hospital in Big Bear for more extensive treatment, or parents are contacted and asked to take the camper home, depending on the nature of the injury/illness. The health lodge also contains a washer and dryer and a refrigerator.
