Elizabeth Gammon Nature Lodge

The Elizabeth Gammon Nature Lodge is located in the same building as the Arts and Crafts Center, separated by a wall and door. It is named after a famous camp alumnus, Elizabeth Gammon, who was in charge of the camp’s nature program in the 1960s. She even raised a fawn during her tenure at camp. The Elizabeth Gammon nature lodge contains various mineral, plant, and animal exhibits native to Camp Arbolado. The nature lodge has undergone some remodeling over the years. It was originally an open structure before Elizabeth Gammon’s tenure and was later enclosed.

The lodge was dedicated to Elizabeth Gammon in 1973. Photos of the Nature Lodge over the years are shown below.
